Home-Based Shipment Inspector (Remote)

A part-time contractor role you do from your own kitchen table. Faktorik Group routes test parcels to your address; you tell us, in photographs and plain notes, how each one arrived.

Open role

Faktorik Group insures $3.1 billion of goods in transit every year, and the surest way to learn where packaging gives out is to ship a box and open it at the far end. That is the inspector’s job. Across the United States, inspectors receive test shipments at home, compare each one against a checklist, document what they find, and send the goods onward. The work is part-time and remote. Pay is monthly.

The work, step by step. A carrier leaves a test parcel at your door: furniture fittings one week, a case of cold-brew concentrate the next. You open it and work through the checklist for the outer packaging and the contents, photographing as you go. Every observation goes into the inspector app on your phone. Crushing, water staining, a torn corner, a seal that has been disturbed: you flag it there and then. Repack the goods and hand them back to the carrier with our label. Now and again a claims specialist books a short video call so you can walk them through a case in your own words.

Pay and schedule

  • $4,300 a month, plus a performance bonus tied to inspection quality
  • Remote, US-based contractor role; your home is the inspection site
  • Part-time. Most inspectors handle a few parcels a week, timed around deliveries
  • We supply the app, the checklist, packing materials, and prepaid onward labels

What we ask for

  • US resident aged 21 or older with a stable home address, willing to pass a background check
  • A smartphone with a working camera and internet that holds up during photo uploads
  • Attention to detail (a scuffed corner is evidence to an underwriter) and the ability to lift 40 lb
